Join our Musical Theatre Production program for an immersive journey into the world of theater creation. Participants become integral parts of crafting a full show experience, working collaboratively to bring a 30-minute or 60-minute youth Musical Theatre production to life. From learning ensemble dynamics to performing on local stages complete with costumes, sets, lighting, and sound, our program aims to offer a fun, educational, and structured musical theatre experience. Our goal is to create a platform for our cast to enjoy both on and off the stage, culminating in a quality and enjoyable production they can take pride in.
AUDITIONS:
All aspiring performers interested in our Youth Musical Theatre Productions will undergo a vocal audition and participate in a dance audition before each production. This ensures an equitable, diverse, and inclusive casting approach at SOC Studio. We welcome students of every race, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, body type, and experience level to audition and participate in our programs.
Auditions for our productions are held in July and December each year, one month before rehearsals commence for our Winter and Spring musical productions.
We strongly encourage ongoing training in acting, vocal, and dance classes for all participating students. This continuous development helps students refine their performance skills and techniques with each production they engage in.
